Tuseme (Let Us Speak Out) is an empowerment model that enables girls and boys to understand the problems that affect them, articulate these problems, and take action to solve them.First developed at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Tuseme uses theatre development techniques to enable young people to identify and address concerns that hinder their social and academic development. Through drama, songs, and creative arts, young people learn negotiation skills, how to speak out, self-confidence, decision-making, and leadership skills.
