She has given more than 25 years of service as an ICT professional and Lecturer, she is currently a member of the 14th Governing Council and Head of Department Computer Science, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri (FPNO) Imo State Nigeria. Currently The Head, Department of Head, ICT and National Secretary – Forum for African Women in Educationalists Nigeria (FAWEN).
At FPNO she developed many unique academic teaching skills, programs, and articles that relied on the impact of emerging technologies on ICT; she served as the Evening Programme Coordinator for the Computer Science department, served as Co-chairman, secretary, and member of various committees in the institution. She has written and presented more than 30 papers at National and International Conferences and has to her credit papers published in both local and international journals. She is the author/ Co-Author of various textbooks in Computing Sciences
She studied at various Universities in Nigeria, where she obtained the following degrees: B.Tech (Hons) in Mathematics and Computer Science, M.Sc in Information Technology, Ph.D. in Computer Science. She has also attended many specialized certified courses and training with NIIT on SQL, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) programme Trainers/ instructors programmes, currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher, Morgan State University USA and the like.
She is a Fellow, Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Member, Computer Professionals (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN), Member Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIT), Member, Organization of Women in Science for the developing World (MOWSD), Member, Forum for African Educationalists Nigeria (MFAWEN) etc
Before her work experience at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri Imo State she was an IT Systems support/ Administrator with the Consolidated Breweries PLC, Nigeria
Projects/ Work Experience since 2004– date
At the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, she is currently a Member of the 14th Governing Council of the Polytechnic, Head of the Department of Computer Science, NBTE Accreditation Team and External Examiner, Computer Science depts. in various Polytechnic in Nigeria and other numerous National assignments by her professional body’s councils and Boys’ Brigade of Nigeria.
